Delve Networks crawls hundreds of millions of Web pages across the Internet to understand the relationships between words. Based on this data, we have developed conceptual models for various topics, such as politics, economics, and technology. When a user searches a program for a key word, we utilize the conceptual models to map the degree to which words relate to each other. For example, a search for the key word “Iraq” will produce close matches to “war” and “army,” because these words appear in close proximity to each other in today’s Internet. As word usage evolves on the Internet, our conceptual models evolve to reflect those changes.
