Alex brings executive experience from Microsoft, Amazon.com, and Trilogy. He started the Microsoft CRM business, which has grown to over $550m in revenue, and held key management roles within the business application division, including providing leadership around Microsoft's acquisition of Great Plains. At Microsoft, he was the group manager for the MSN Entertainment business unit, which included the MSN Music, Video, Movies, and TV Web sites. Alex also drove the company wide strategy for digital media devices for MSN, Windows, and Windows Mobile. At Trilogy, Alex led the successful deployment of large scale multimillion dollar CRM deployments for key customers like Toyota. At Amazon, Alex was responsible for the marketing and product management of services within the Amazon's Web Services division and oversaw the launch of the Mechanical Turk online marketplace.
Alex holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science from Cornell University, he also completed coursework at Cornell's Johnson School of Management and Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. As an undergraduate, he was named an AT&T Bell Laboratories Scholar, which provided a full scholarship to the college of his choice and an opportunity to work on digital media, voice over IP, and speech recognition research at AT&T Bell Labs. As a graduate student, Alex was a recipient of a full-tuition scholarship from Microsoft Corporation.
Soam brings over 15 years of experience in video, web/enterprise search and monetization to Delve. As Chief Scientist, Soam leads Delve's initiatives into semantic video, video search, analytics and cloud computing. Soam began his career working with high-energy physicists for the Superconducting-Super Collider Laboratories in Dallas and Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in California. His graduate thesis at Cornell was in the area of multimedia systems where he pioneered work in Internet based video access and storage characterization, transcoding, and distributed video caching. After completing his PhD, he worked on web and enterprise search at Inktomi where he was an instrumental member of the GigaDoc project, one of the world's earliest billion-document web crawled search index. Following Inktomi, he was at LookSmart where he was involved with various web search relevance and contextual advertising initiatives. Finally, at Yahoo, Soam served as technical lead for various core components that led to significant revenue generation for Yahoo's sponsored search platform.
Soam holds a BA in Computer Science and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas and a MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
Edgardo has spent his entire career building enterprise software and successfully growing technology startups. He brings to Delve over 12 years of program and product management experience. With vast knowledge of the design, development and implementation of enterprise software, Edgardo is responsible for all aspects of Delve's software development, including quality assurance, product design and advanced technology implementation. Edgardo began his career in program management for Aventail. He then joined the software development team at Real Networks, working directly with the CEO. Following his experience at Real he joined Isilon Systems as the director of program management, helping lead the company from infancy to IPO. Most recently, Edgardo joined Kate at Mixxer, Inc.
